It seems that STR has devoided Minardi of any real commercial assets
No name, no fans, no design.

I feel rather sorry for The STR guys, I really don't understand how they can have ownership of the car.
The beautiful PS05 was a Faenza product, it might not have been as fast as we would have liked, but Damnit everyone knew that Minardi with it's …
In 2000 Gaston Mazzacane's galant defence of his position against Mika Hakkinen inspired me to follow the team in 2001. Fernando Alonso’s impressed from the very first race and I was hooked.
Minardi moments were rare, but always sweet. Mark Webber’s…

Customer chassis rules may deliver a short term improvement in "the show" - it closes up the field, and a second division team with a bright young driver will be able to really show their worth.

I was feeling rathe unwell on Sunday, and opted to skip the F1 race in the morning (SA time).
When the The A1 Race came on in the afternoon I was trying to grab a nap and I thought I would watch with just one eye.
Not a chance: A1 action grabbed m…
I'd like to see him return, I'd like to see the Minardi name return. Love them or hate them guys like Stoddart and Jordan were the life's blood of the sport.
If any of us could muster a budget of 50 to 100 Million dollars, had a warehouse we could claim was a factory and had even the barest sliver of a claim to the Minardi name, our entries would be sitting next to Paul's.
You guys can't have it both wa…

I just don't understand how the Aussies can get so excited over a walk-up start.
Mind you, the Poms and Scots men have not done badly in the pool at all.
*Sigh* I just wish they would pronounce Roland'…

The fact that he hung onto the F1-project (and retained the Minardi name in this respect) would seem to indicate that it wasn't the drain on resources people thought it was.
On of the nice things about A1 is that they're taking us to places that can't afford to host F1 (gee whiz A1 actually helps sometimes :-0 )
I really liked the Sentul track in Indonesia, I thought it had character and atmosphere.
At BAR in 2000 we looked at doing a chrome livery and of course did lots of tests for photography and TV and you just couldn't see the sponsors logos clearly enough so we went for the white car with the flashes of silver on instead.

As we all know http://www.minardi.it/ redirects to STR.
STR's page is horrible, all fluff and forced design to be "cool & hip" with no real content.
I idly clicked on my old Minardi link yesterday and was redirected to that abomination.…
It was a ballsy manouver, both times.
This was the first whole A1 weekend I followed, and I must say I think I'm hooked....Excitement all the way...
and a good 5th place for Simpson on home turf.
Bernie and the boys had better get their heads out…
Listen up you people - STR - in my opinion - thinks they can treat a Minardi Club as if they were a STR unit. They have no right - they need to EARN that right.
It is quite insulting - they have never made any contact let alone FORMAL contact wit…
1) First Minardi memory?
Mika Hakinan struggling to overtake Gaston in the rain.
2) First F1 memory?
Nige's Championship year.
3) Favourite Minardi memory?
Zsolt's well deserved single point in indianapolis. (a reward for tenacity)
4) Worst…
Lets be frank, that letter is a blow off.
The writer's probably wouldn't know a F1 car if it stuck them up the bum.
Not to mention that it's piss poor marketing idea.
I vote we generate a host of sword logo's sticking it to the red cow.
Has anybody figured out the logo? Looking at it from left to right it looks like one of those short long sauage looking dogs. What is with that wiggly tail on the right!?!?!
You're right it does look like a Dachshund.
Stick a sword into it, it'…
However I have to say that the fact that they have even registered ForzaToroRosso.com (AS IF!!) is too clear an indication that they don’t plan to retain Minardi as an F1 brand.
ForzaToroRosso.co.za is still available, why don't you guys check yo…
hehe just send that off yourself once it is made official i think it is quite funny
I have, to the South African contact Email, and the Austrian One.
I think I'm also going to send it to our local commentary team who thought the new name was cool.…
I suggest everyone send a message similer in nature to the one below to your local Red cow subsidiary. It won't do anything, but it might give you closure
Dear Red Bull (your country)
Isn't it a bit inane to give an internationally supported team …
Well the new name is inane, it's so inane that I can't bring myself to type it, or even cut and paste it.
I suggest we call it it: FKAM
Formarly Known As Minardi.
The acronymn is pretty much what Red Cow has done to us.
