Looks great! Like proposed by bladerunner, we really should have a place for listing publications that have run the story. The Wiki thread might do for now..
With >1600 signatures and counting, this thing is really going places. I hope Red Bull seriously considers the PR impacts when they choose the name..
This website of a dutch F1 magazine mentioned aswell that there are petitions on the net, but unfortunate it will not help: Red Bull Light will be the new name: http://www.formule1club.nl/pagina_nieuws.php?id=7387
Sorry, but in an interview on F1Total.com (where we ware mentioned again^^), Mr. MArko said that they still don't know anything about the new name. There is hope!
ITV f1.com is running a piece on "whether the Minardi name should survive" - we need to e-mail them and get the ForzaMinardi.com petition more awareness

F1club.nl: "I believe it will be Red Bull light" Helmut Marko told Adam Cooper when he asked about the new name.

I will try to update the thread in the next 60 minutes...but a Wiki would really help.
PS: If someone has time, this is a PHP & MySQL Wiki (since this site runs on PHP), but I don't want to place additional work burden on anyone: http://sourceforge.net/projects/phpwiki/ (Techies only)
Over here in Ireland the word is out - This news I just got from my wife’s friend who is a journalist and has offered to help. The Irish Sunday Tribune is running a story on the Forzaminardi petition, Saturdays Irish Examiner will also have a link to us and also the Sunday Sports on RTE radio have agreed to mention us. RJ they all have your email if they need more info will you assist? Setanta have been approached to do TV for us and this I hope will work out. Everyone is doing a great job!
just had a 5 minute interview with austrian news agency www.pressetext.at
I bought "Der Standard" today (which I hardly ever do, because they are way to intelligent for me) and they also mentioned ForzaMinardi.com in their printed version!
"an unofficial supporters site" -> the largest unofficial Minardi supporters site ?
Just imagine what would have happened if Roman Abramovich when he bought Chelsea had changed the team's name into "Roman's Blue Boys". -> "However, Red Bull did and set a disturbing example recently after buyig a football club anerging Austria Salzburg fans (www.violett-weiss.at) despite promises. We are concerned similar actions will be applied to Minardi."
-> Maybe add one sentence that Minardi changed controlling ownershipat least twice before (to Rumi/Briatore and then Stoddart, anyone correct me...), but Minardi name REMAINED. Many non F1 people otherwise assume name change is automatic just because other team names disappear.
As you know, English is not my native language, the above are just ideas...please rephrase, native speakers help :)

Hurrah!
We have a new beachhead in the UK !!!!
Will add this to the Action page, great.
I see the following white spots in Europe:
- France:
Can anybody contact "Les Minardistes" in France ? I want more action in France
- Italy:
Gazzetta, Corriere ??...
- Switzerland
F*ck, i emailed many of them today...no signs yet. Will try again
- Greece:
Where's the Greece member ?
- Ireland:
...
And so on...let's try to reach 10000 before Brazil, maybe I'm aiming too high, but if everybody keeps posting and asking the press, we can do it.
AIM HIGH !
I feel like one of those shrimp peelers in that golden pages spot in the netherlands (anyone remember that one)
thousands of people and I'm the only one to stop pope benedict and josef stalin from signing (again and again and again)
The problem in Switzerland is that country has..well, had...its own F1 team and that the yellow press daily (Blick) usually mocked Minardi.
Will keep trying also.
In the meantime, I added more forums...everybody, please keep working on forums and blogs to mention this.
For example, Technorati.com is a Blog search engine..
Search for 'Minardi' or 'Red Bull' and leave a comment, as an example:
http://www.autoblog.it/post/1506/una-petizione-on-line-per-salvare-il-nome-minardi
Blog from Ukyo Katayama (bottom):
http://ukyo-f1.at.webry.info/200509/article_2.html
etc.
I'm also working on this right now and tonight...10 new forums or blogs by 10 members equal 10000 signatures long term...let's keep working on it !
PS: RJ; I posted the Japanese text to the Japanese Minardi site you link to from the main page, it's here: http://bbs2.sekkaku.net/bbs/minaweb.html

Blick is the biggest yellow press daily in Switzerland.
I think it's the most accessed news site in Switzerland.
Yes !
I hope it makes it to the print edition as well.
well done, that's a big fish!
Is someone trying with "Bild" or "Bild am Sonntag" ?
Any German members ? Homer ?
I will try to do a press release template and a "What you can do for Minardi" by tonight
and post it here for comments...
