It's commonly accepted that the FIA controls World Motorsport, and that any racing that takes place has to be either FIA sanctioned, or should it be a national race, by that particular countries Motorsport federation (which represents the FIA and upholds FIA rules)
So who exactly gave the FIA all this power? What is to stop another organisation forming their own rival to the FIA, and controlling world motorsport as they see fit? Which then leads me to think, what is to stop someone starting their own rival to an organisation such as CAMS (Confederation of Australian Motorsport) which can control Motor Racing on a national level?
Maybe the GPWC should not just be looking at Formula 1, but Motor racing worldwide.

BTW: Killing CAMS is a long term goal of mine :P
