Save Albert Park!

After the raging success of the 'Save Minardi' petition, maybe we could get a 'Save Albert Park', otherwise known as 'Pull yer Head in, and Stick yer Friggin GP up yer Arse, yer Greedy Pommie Midget Git' petition?

Whilst we would normally have nothing but solidarity with our wonderfully compliant Asian neighbours who are so far up the midget's arse that they need a torch (or is that track lighting), on this occasion, I think that letting the thing go and picking it up later at bargain prices and a share of the TV money is the better approach.

Fair dinkum!

  • The Victorian problem, which we don't have in the UK, is that taxpayers money goes to Bernie. I fully understand that more money is attracted to Melbourne that weekend but taxpayers are stupid and do not compute this.

By the way, Ron Walker is on one of the best 'mates rates' with Bernard: £10m or something. As soon as one of them goes you can kiss goodbye to Albert Park at that price. I can't see the GP at Eastern Creek but, equally, Melbourne will have to sacrifice the opening slot if it wants to stay in daylight. Personally, I liked the 3am start but realise I am in a lunatic minority.

For all its historic faults, the British Racing Drivers Club has never been in hock to the UK government. Our GP is a loss leader for Silverstone.
