RuSPORT Announces 2005 Program
Today RUSPORT has announced they will be competing in the 2005 Champ Car
World Series with a two car effort featuring A.J. Allmendinger and Justin
Wilson. Allmendinger and Wilson finished the season 1-2 in the 2004
Roshfrans Rookie of the Year standings.

The 26 year-old Wilson, who hails from the U.K., proved to be a worthy
competitor on the track in his first season, collecting 10 top-ten starts
and 7 top-ten finishes. "I'm obviously very excited to be joining RuSPORT,"
said the former F1 pilot and Formula 3000 champion. "The atmosphere within
in the team is great and there is such a high level of drive and
professionalism. I think it's the best place to be to win races and
championships. I'm also really looking forward to having A.J. as a teammate
because we
see things similarly. We get on well even though every weekend we were
battling head to head."
"I am proud of what we accomplished in 2004; however, I know that I speak
for all of RuSPORT when I say we are eager get to the front," said Carl
Russo team owner. "I believe we have what it takes to get there. A.J. and
Justin are two young champions who know how to go for it. This is going to
be fun!"
RuSPORT, headquartered in Denver, CO, won the 2003 Toyota Atlantic
Championship in its first year of competition and their first year of Champ
Car competition has yielded 19 top-ten starts and 15 top-ten finishes,
including 4 podiums. The team also marked several milestones, including the
team's first double-podium and first laps-led. RuSPORT will begin the
campaign for the Bridgestone Presents the Champ Car World Series Powered by
Ford championship on April 10, 2005 at the series season opener in Long
Beach, CA.
