Everyone has a varying tolerance to G-LOC. Not everyone gets to see their embarrassment on TV though.
Most for me was 6.8 in a Mirage IIIO. Hell of an experience for a first-timer. I found it enjoyable though. As the G builds, your field of view narrows. I'm told that after that it becomes like pinpricks, followed very quickly by a red out, then LOC.
A G-Suit should protect most people from G-LOC up to 7.5, but above that, they fall away quickly. There wouldn't be many fighter pilots that could handle 9 or more.
