    How cna GCM have a Minardi Team and at the same time there be this "Minardi" Team.

    I think because it is Minardi F1 X 2.

    The fact that he hung onto the F1-project (and retained the Minardi name in this respect) would seem to indicate that it wasn't the drain on resources people thought it was.

    why would it be... all you need is one or two mechanics who fire up the engine and change the odd part if in need of fixing

    I doubt it was out of respect - I think it is out of name recognition. Purely business IMHO.
