Hi Doc!

you guys arrived safely...how's L.A.?

Comments

  • Jo, Ari and Ali arrived and fine!

I wait in KL working till Saturday.

The result at Mexico for Malaysia was good in leaping up to 7th in the ranking for season so far.

It is still mathematically possible for Malaysia to take 3rd if we score 21 points more than Great Britain, 18 more than Brazil, 17 more than Jos and 12 more than NZ (all unlikely), and more than those behind, especially Portugal and Ireland (quite possible).

So the last 2 races are going to be all excitement.
    Really looking forward to Seca!

  • oops, didn't realise you are still here...

yup, mathematically possible but more possibly improbable...

    :(
  • Jos will take third place
  • probably he will too...he's got his car sorted.
  • Sort of enjoyed the Mexico races but A1 remains blighted by safety cars/Keystone Cop drivers.

Jos is on fire at the mo and well done to Alex.

re: the French car. That's some set-up they've got there.
  • Did you guys see that Japanese car in the first race? I have never ever seen such a thing before. Was he sleeping?
  • We've seen F1 cars launch into the air before usually during a start (Raplphie-Melboure 2002, Montreal and Germany a couple of years earlier. )

However, behind the safety car is a bit embarassing.

As you say, "sleeping" or at least not alert to the swerving and braking ahead. You can't warm up the tyres while airborne.

  • The Jap and Indonesia drivers are dangerous. At least China stays out of the way.
  • ....but they don't trail a long hose and air gun around behind them, or run straight off at the bends.

    .....aaah! Durban!:D

  • Doc, you are failing to wind me up.
  • Doc, you are failing to wind me up
there is something called Viagra you know?
  • No need for that, I have a splint.

    Nurse!
  • With Jos you can see how much of a difference a good race engineer can make in A1GP. Not to take anything away from Graham Taylor, but since Bernard Freneix joined the team in Durban Jos is right up there with France, Switzerland and Great Britain.
I really hope he'll take third overall but it will be a tough one against Robbie Kerr.
  • Well, I arrived safely in the Land of the Free and the home of the Brave!

Didn't get the 3rd degree from immigration, customs or NSA.
In fact the LAX folks were all courtesy and friendliness, green lane and into the waiting car ahead of time.

Redondo beach is fine but cooler than the sunny land I left. Monday we head up to Monterey and Seca for the big A1 race, next weekend.

We hope to catch up with Quig and the MCSF and will try to keep everyone updated.
