Who is the Stig?

FOr All those who recieve TOP GEAR....do we know who the stig is?

He drove a Renault F1 around the track, so I am thinking, Hill, Mansell or Irvine, does anyone have a clue?

Ah, well, Perry is no longer The Stig, my sources tell me. Sadly, I can't tell you who the new one is as I don't know.

Also, the Renault demo would have been done by one of their test drivers, whatever was said on the show.

They once had Jeremy going head to head with Luca Badoer in 2 TOIT road cars.

So, seeing that he's willing to participate in that show I thought there's a possibility he could be the Stig.

Nah, too busy. I believe we are looking at a top level British driver who, possibly, has the odd international engagement. Of course, The Stig could be more than one person and they would never reveal it.

I've watched the incars a lot, and his body language behind the wheel is very similar to the white Stig

Daily Express reports today it is former Lotus & Tyrrell man Julian Bailey - a mate of Perry, I believe.

He won the World Sports Car Championship.
