I don't know UK laws, but wouldn't it be possible to hand out flyers (in a friendly manner) or have a poster up by the road as long as it's still on PUBLIC ground ?
Handing out flyers or putting up a poster IS a protest.
I have made a genuine offer to direct UK members to the site of the auction.
Trust me,people who work there do know me.That is why I cannot be seen there.
By the way I can't just make 100 flyers and a poster appear from nowhere.
Let's fight together not against each other.

Anyway, at the auction, there could be people with influence, commitment and money willing to support the cause...not to mention Mr. Stoddart himself.
Maybe he is willing to take questions from the audience :)
