A Red Bull victim in Football: HELP!
As I already pointed to in the forum, Red Bull also bought a football club and the fans are NOT happy with the Bulls destroying their tradition...
Sound familiar ?
There they made promises to keep the teams traditional colors (violet and white), but later changed them...Red Bull also wanted to change the team foundation date to 2005 (1933 foundation had a history relevance to distance themselves with their name and the neutral colours from loomin Big Brother Germany...you know what followed some years later on)
Today, the "Violet-White Supporters" supported our cause by putting a link and article (in German) to our peition, so here is a link back and a big THANK YOU !

15.09.2005: Hilferuf aus der Formel 1 - Minardi zittert um Traditon
Wie am Wochenende in allen entsprechenden Medien zu lesen war, übernahm Red Bull den traditionsreichen Rennstall Minardi um daraus ihr "Rookie-Team" zu formen.
Wie Red Bull der Presse bestätigte gibt es noch keinerlei Entscheidung in Sachen Namensgebung des Teams, das mit wenig Geld aber mit großem Kämpferherz über 20 Jahre lang eine Bereicherung und Talentschmiede der Formel 1 war, begann doch unter anderem kein geringerer als der heurige Champion Fernando Alonso dort seine Karriere in der Königsklasse.
Klar, hier geht es um Fußball, aber gerade wir wissen wie es sich anfühlt wenn eine Stampede roter Bullen am Horizont auftaucht und in Begriff ist, alles was nur irgendwie an Tradition erinnert niederzutrampeln.
Deshalb kommen wir der Bitte der Seitenbetreiber von "forzaminardi.com" gerne nach und veröffentlichen den Link zu ihrer Online-Petition zur Erhaltung des Namens Minardi.

If I could add something, it might be that Red Bull keeps the promise to stay in Faenza (they had different reactions / press statements about moving or not)...
I sent some thoughts to RJ today - didn't wan to make them public yet - since Red Bull may offer some cheap compromise instead.
Their treatment of the "Violet-White" campaign in football gives us some hints..
