    Sadly, no. England will probably still qualify but there's no way we can win like this. The increasingly popular view here is that Eriksson is actually clueless. We bought a dud.

    Eriksson, in a terrible echo of Keegan at Wembley, panics and makes things worse when it's not going our way.

    There are some good, youngish English coaches - Curbishley, McClaren, Bruce, Pearce maybe; see how it goes at Man City.
