  Nice. But why would a 1989 Minardi have a Lambo engine?
  
  As far as I know Minardi only had Lambo engines in 1992?

  You are correct the M189 used the Ford Cosworth V8 engine, and between 89-92 they used more Cosworths, some Ferrari V12s and then the Lambo V12. Not sure if you could shoehorn a V12 into the M189. Makes no sense to me but wouldn't quite stop me from buying it if I was able to do so.

  I have contacted the sellers to enquire about the engine and recent history. Will keep you posted.
  The only Minardi I know which raced in the historic series was an M185. It won its class.
