according to this article on the autosport website the FIA have announced that the engine specs will be completly frozen for 10years from the end of next year.

Talk about coming out of left field!!! where did that come from there was no word of it at Interlagos.

    I think it means that no developement of any sort will take place on the engines. Therefore the engine that was used the 2008 Belgian GP could be used in the 2017 Monaco GP. There is the option to allow changes to the regs but all the teams have to agree and 2 years notice must be given.

    Not very green, is it? Surely F1 needs to position itself at the forefront of the technological drive to dramatically reduce fuel consumption.
