Hi everyone, new here.
Paul Stoddart and his girlfriend are old friends I have got to know since his days running in the UK Euroboss championship. I have known him since 1997.
I too am sad he has had to sell the team and hope Paul can still be involved in F1 in some capacity.
As a professional motor sport artist I have painted many pictures for teams, drivers and personalities in F1, from Ayrton Senna to Bernie Ecclestone to GP2/F1 test drivers.
Paul has around 15 of my original paintings, on display in his UK Ledbury office. I thought you might like to see some here, simply click on the thumbnail to enlarge. All are painted in acrylics to a size 76 x 51cm.
I hope you like them and see you soon Paul if you check in here!

TV commentator and great friend of Paul, Murray Walker, receives his retirement gift from Minardi & european Aviation on the flight back from Monza 2001.
The cars 'European Aviation' have sponsored are shown together with the F1 team aircraft from Paul's fleet.
In 2002, both Damon Hill and Michael Schumacher drove the Minardi 2-seater. Michael drove at Fiorano, taking his Ferrari colleagues, family and friends for rides. Paul also did a few laps as a passenger to Michael.

Which brings me back to topic:
- Anyone attending the auction ? Could maybe help raise awareness for the petition at the auction ? Poster at entrance, flyers...
- Also, if previous Minardi drivers could maybe sign and/or donate some gear 'at cost' o n this site and the proceedings could be put in the petition warfund ?
How about auctioning it off on eBay, keep the asking price and donate the surplus help the current petition to save the Minardi name ?
:)
Hey, asking is free and the times are dire, we need every help we can...so ?
Stand united in dark times..
I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears, and sweat. We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many months of struggle and suffering.

I wish you all luck with the petition, the Minardi name deserves to stay in Formula One, which it has supported through the good and bad times. I also saw many F2 races with drivers such as Alboreto driving under the Minardi name before the team went F1.
If anyone here would like a 1000pixel wide version of one of them for your desktop, I would be pleased to email one to you. Paul has the originals but I retain the copyright to all of my work if you were wondering. I'm on email info@andrewkitson.com
Andrew, if you ever get the chance, tell Paul thanks for everything, from Lease.
:D
I e-mailed Paul's partner to ask her to show this thread to Paul and out of courtesy to tell them I had posted photos of their paintings here. She replied saying how sad Paul is and hope her reply might help with the fans fears about Faenza:
"Paul is really gutted to be out of F1 as it is his passion. One of the provisions that he sold to RB is that they keep the factory in Faenza and the staff intact, which despite some press reports the other day, is going to happen. That gives him some comfort and as you say they will be able to take the team forward".
Let's hope RB keep their word.
